Privacy Policy – Pixel Inspector

Effective date: July 8, 2026

Pixel Inspector (“the Extension”) is developed by AdsTrust.net. This policy explains how the Extension handles data.

Data collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any user data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no remote servers and no user accounts.

How it works

When you click the Extension icon, it runs a one-time scan of the page currently open in the active tab. The scan reads only publicly available page information — JavaScript variables set by advertising pixels, inline page markup, and the browser’s Performance timeline — to identify which advertising or analytics pixels are present and their public IDs.

The scan runs only in response to your click, on the current tab only. Results are shown to you in the popup and are discarded when you close it. Nothing is written to disk, and nothing leaves your browser.

Permissions

  • activeTab — lets the Extension read the currently active tab only after you click the icon.
  • scripting — lets the Extension run its one-time detection scan on that tab.

The Extension has no access to any page until you explicitly click its icon, and no persistent access afterward.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
